There seems to
be no rhyme or reason to the various symptoms of this disease. Some
women experience no symptoms although they may have an advanced case of
Adenomyosis. While others, in the beginning stages, may experience
lots of symptoms. Below are some of the symptoms that some may
encounter.
-
Excessive or prolonged menstrual bleeding; pelvic examination may
reveal an enlarged, slightly softened or boggy uterus and/or uterine
tenderness.
-
Painful menstruation is also a symptom, often beginning 1 week
prior to the onset of menstrual flow; which usually becomes
increasingly worse, and the pain is not always just during your
cycle, some report having pelvic pain constantly.
