Treatment can consist of nothing other than treating the pain to various courses of Oral Contraceptives and other procedures such as a D&C. A D&C may sometimes relieve the symptoms for a period of time, sometimes months, sometimes years.  Although it is not a ~cure~ for Adenomyosis.  A hysterectomy may be necessary for women with severe symptoms that are not approaching menopause age. In my experience I found that oral contraceptives aggravated the symptoms of heavy bleeding and pain. Lupron is also another course of treatment that some physicians will suggest, I personally was not given this choice. I suggest that you visit the National Lupron Victims website before making the decision to try Lupron. Also visit Lupron.com for more information about Lupron.

Can Adenomyosis Be Treated Without Hysterectomy

The only known ~cure~ for Adenomyosis right now is Hysterectomy. Although there are alternatives to hysterectomy for those that fertility is still an issue or for those that just aren't ready to part with their uterus.
